We the undersigned call for staff of all grades at the University of London to be given an equal holiday allowance of 30 days, to end the unfair disparity between levels 1-6 staff and levels 7-10 staff.

The current situation is not just unfair, but also raises issues of race and gender discrimination, as BAME (black Asian and minority ethnic) staff and women are disproportionately represented among grades 1-6.

This change would benefit everyone – staff from a better work-life balance, and the employer from happier and more productive staff. A firm commitment now from the University would demonstrate it is serious about treating everyone who works here fairly and with dignity.
